Vacancy Location:  This is a multisite role covering 6 services in the Swansea and Bridgend area

Shifts: Full-time 40 hours per week

Pay Rate: £36,000 - £38,606 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role Overview

  • Reporting to the Regional Area Manager you’ll be responsible for leading a team and ensuring consistent and reliable care across the homes you are legally responsible for. You will support adults with complex needs including learning disabilities, autism, ABI and mental health needs.
  • You’ll make sure your team helps the people we support to flourish in a place they call home. You’ll empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives.
  • You’ll lead high-quality support tailored to the needs of the people we support, giving access to opportunities and relationships.
  • You’ll make sure your team follows our Quality Framework and the i statements that set out the way we deliver care and support.
  • You’ll ensure your service is a safe, effective, caring, responsive environment that’s well-led and operates in line with regulatory frameworks.

  • Responsibility for managing resources and working positively with stakeholders.
  • You will lead person-led, and inclusive services, supporting, and promoting the well-being, of both the people we support and colleagues, while supporting them to stay safe.
  • You will lead reflective practice promoting continuous improvement within your service.
  • You will develop and effectively implement outcome-focused service development plans, which meet statutory and regulatory requirements, developments in commissioning and manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • You will be accountable for the agreed delivery of hours for each service and ensure that the budgeted income and commercial performance levels are met within those services.

Role Responsibilities 

 

Person-led Care

  • Our approach is all about co-production with the people we support. We work with them to design and plan things – so we can create the best experiences together.
  • You will work alongside the people we support and our colleagues to build positive relationships that enable people to take positive risks and have their say about the support they receive and as well as develop skills on a practical or personal level.
  • In addition to this you may deliver personal care to people where and if required in a person-centred way that is always respectful and dignified.
  • As the Registered Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient personalised services for people, ensuring systems, processes and practices are in place and reported to keep people safeguarded from abuse.

Great Planning & Leadership

  • You will work with the team to create a culture that reflects our values and supports our colleagues and the people we support to further develop their skills.
  • You will plan to meet the required time scales for regular audits and reviews of documentation relating to the people we support. In addition, you will hold regular supervisions and appraisals with our colleagues to reflect on the support we provide and shape their development needs.
  • Through effective rota management you will ensure the highest quality of care (including recruitment, bank and agency utilisation where required)
  • You will ensure all risks to people supported are continually assessed, their safety monitored and managed, and they are supported to stay safe. You will also monitor people’s care and treatment and act pro-actively on outcomes, working with external stakeholders and ivolve dedicated expert functions to support people to live healthier lives.

Deliver Great Standards

  • You will work to ensure you follow guidelines, strategies and procedures as set out in support plans to allow people to receive consistent and reliable care.
  • In addition to this you will promote dignity, encourage independence, and support people to meet their emotional, physical, and psychological wellbeing through participating in activities of interest such as social events, sports, or religious holidays in addition to meeting medical needs through the effective management of medical appointments and safe medication administration where required.
  • You will set the tone for the high level of care and support that we provide and encourage a collaborative and passionate approach to the work our colleagues undertake.
  • You will always follow policy and procedures and liaise with your line manager where colleagues’ conduct, or performance may not reflect this.

Work as a team

  • As a team you will work to ensure information relating to a person’s needs is captured via electronic or paper records where appropriate reviewing support plans and risk assessments to capture peoples changing needs.
  • You will be respectful of people’s privacy by sharing information on a need-to-know basis, and only as agreed with the person or where they may be at risk of harm maintaining trust and integrity for the people, we support so that additional support can be sought where required.
  • You will be part of creating transparent cultures reporting concerns and safeguarding or unusual occurrences in accordance with company policy.
  • You will work alongside our expert functions to deliver on key outcomes in relation to Business Development, Finance, People and Quality.

Professional Boundaries and Communication

  • You will ensure communication is effective, respectful, professional and clear, allowing you to communicate with the people you support as well as families, professionals, and our colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for the people we provide support to.
  • You will always conduct yourself in a professional manner and act as brand ambassador, reporting in line with our procedures things that are of concern in an open and transparent way that supports the reputation and growth  
    of Ivolve.

Sustainability

  • You will deliver high-quality sustainable care to people, demonstrating robust plans to deliver excellent outcomes through regular review of practice, training and decision-making requirements of legislation and guidance
  • You will demonstrate a collaborative proactive, inclusive, and timely approach to colleagues’ recruitment and selection, up to Senior level or equivalent, ensuring every effort is made to implement policy and processes in a way that meets Ivolve recruitment standards and quality requirements.
  • You will effectively manage voids working alongside the relevant functions, responding to referral requests in a timely manner and supporting the assessment process for people who may wish to move in to one of our homes. In addition, you will be involved in the completion of assessments and ensuring the quality of these, contract monitoring meetings and contract monitoring returns supporting the key outcomes in relation to growth.
  • You will work towards achieving or maintaining compliance with CIW or equivalent standards, ensuring contract compliance and adherence to internal standards. Alongside managing allocated budgets, to ensure proper use, accounting, and reporting of all finances within the services (including monies for people we support), in line with ivolve financial procedures, ensuring cost-effective service delivery.
