Driving is essential for this role as you will be required to travel between a variety of our homes within Fieldbay. You will be required to support at the following locations:

We offer £21.00 per hour. You will get paid milage of 45p per mile to travel to the required homes apart from your base (Tan Yr Allt Lodge/House).

The team includes Advanced Practitioners trained in Manual Handling, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Positive Behavioural Management (PBM) and Fundamentals of Care. We also have Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) and access to a Consultant Psychiatrist, Neuro-Psychologist and assistant Psychologists.

What’s involved
To join us as a Peripatetic Nurse, you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMNRLDN) with a current NMC registration. A strong, up-to-date clinical knowledge is important, as is a good understanding of key regulatory frameworks, including the safe administration of medicines and NMC standards. We’ll also look for a successful track record of producing care plans and detailed risk assessments. Dedicated and ambitious, you’ll be able to lead by example – your can-do approach and excellent communication skills will motivate the teams in each Fieldbay care home you work with.
Who we are: Fieldbay provides supports adults 18+, specialising in brain injuries, Huntington’s disease, mental health and complex behaviours. We aim to consistently deliver the highest provision of care and support that enables each service user and maintains or increases ability and independence, promotes social/community inclusion and personal wellbeing.
The role is ensuring the effective running of the Designated Unit within the home and take overall charge in the absence of the Home Managers. Lead a specific team of nurses and care/activities staff and provide clinical and managerial leadership to the multi- professional team in that area. Role modelling expert clinical care. Sharing this clinical expertise through practice development, education, mentorship and preceptorship. Leading on specific management tasks and projects as delegated by the Home Managers / Senior Nurse. Representing the Managers at any meetings.
