Job Title: Learning and Development Trainer
Contract Length: 12 Month FTC
Salary: £28,000 Per Annum
Location: Hybrid (Weekly travel to our services)
Working Pattern: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (with flexibility as required to meet with colleagues working weekend shifts)

Role Overview
As a Learning and Development Trainer, you will be expected to deliver a wide range of learning opportunities, developing new staff at induction through to refreshing the knowledge and skills of existing staff in mandatory and specialist topics. You will deliver pre-developed learning material consistently across your area in virtual and on-site classrooms, while also making it your own. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to train in subject areas such as Safeguarding, Epilepsy, BLS, First Aid, Managing Physical Illness, Incident Management, and Medication. You need to have excellent organisation and planning skills, be outgoing and enthusiastic, and have a passion to make learning exciting and interesting for all.
Your Responsibilities
- Delivering face-to-face induction training, mandatory training, and specialist training.
- Motivating and inspiring learners to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills.
- Planning and delivering effective learning activities for diverse groups in a safe and inclusive environment.
- Providing high-quality, engaging, and informative training sessions both in the classroom and in a virtual environment.
- Communicating new starter expectations and instructions as part of the induction programme.
- Ensuring delivery of appropriate training for all levels of staff throughout the organisation to achieve a reduction in incidents.
- Promoting a variety of learning approaches to suit the needs of the learners and the organisation.
- Supporting learners who may have specific needs and working creatively to overcome any barriers to learning.
- Providing constructive and timely feedback to learners and Managers.
- Making sound judgements regarding staff competency and safety in undertaking training and applying learning appropriately.
- Demonstrating the required level of knowledge and underpinning values to competently deliver all elements of training.
- Delivering training that is flexible to the needs of the core business.
The Main Skills and Experience for This Role
- Ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ continuous employment in support or care roles in healthcare, social care, or education.
- Hold or be willing to complete an accredited training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) or equivalent).
- Full current registration with a relevant professional body.
- Hold or be willing to work towards Training of Trainers programme in epilepsy and emergency medication.
- Confident in using virtual/remote learning technology, maintaining personal competence in such systems, and engaging/holding the attention of learners in a virtual learning environment.
- Capacity to work unsupervised and cooperatively with others, promoting and supporting the effectiveness of Fieldbays learning & development strategy.
- Maintaining confidentiality and dealing with situations in a sensitive manner.
- Being positive, resilient, and dynamic with excellent training delivery and presentation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate agility in working practices to provide ad hoc training and learning for specific operational requirements (e.g., services under strict regulatory oversight).
