Vacancy Location: Llannon Road, Upper Tumble, Llanelli SA14 6BU

Shifts: Full-time hours available (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)

Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

The Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Head Chef with the daily aspects of the catering operation. You will assist with everything from preparing simple meals, to ensuring the dining areas are clean and tidy at all times. Knowledge of maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and hygienic environment.

Requirements

Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates must be reliable and professional and be able to demonstrate patience, kindness, compassion and have a true desire to learn and develop. The ability to work independently but also as part of a team is essential along with a positive, friendly and flexible approach to working.

Essential Skills

*        Good general education

*        Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference

*        Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve

*        Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)

*        A commitment to undertake training and development

*        Food Hygiene awareness

Desirable Skills

*        QCF/NVQ Level 2

*        Previous experience within social care setting

*        Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities

*        Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks

*        Confident IT user

*        Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
