Vacancy Location: Heathfield Lodge, 31 Heathfield, Swansea, SA1 6EJ

Shifts: Part time 28.5 hours per week over 3 days (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)

What is involved

Our Chef play a vital role in the operation of our Care Homes, the people who live with us deserve high quality meals – and we provide an extensive quality menu to cater for anyone. You will prepare and produce excellent quality meals to high standards. You will; Welcome the people we support warmly and live our values of business. To collaborate with your colleagues to provide efficient and dynamic support and supervision to our kitchen staff. Planning meals consulting with residents and staff to ensure that individual dietary needs and preferences are carefully planed. Ensure that all Health and Safety and any other relevant legislation is adhered to.

 

Getting Creative

Our approach is all about the food we provide and ensure we have a varied menu to meet each individual need. We design plan food plans in line with the SALT Team guidance – so we can create the best experiences together.

 

Role Responsibilities

*        You’ll support adults with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, ABI and mental health

*        You’ll support them to flourish in a place they call home. You’ll empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives

*        You’ll give high-quality support tailored to people’s needs

*        You’ll do activities like cooking, art or listening to music. And get out for movie nights and food outings

*        There is of course practical support too and helping people to reach their goals in smaller ways. You’ll manage medication, shopping, health needs and hygiene as well as keep things tidy and safe

*        And of course, you’ll follow our procedures, so we give consistent, safe, and reliable care and support

Essential Skills

*        Good general education

*        Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference

*        Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve

*        Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)

*        A commitment to undertake training and development

 

Desirable Skills

*        QCF Level 2 or above in Health and Social care

*        Previous experience within social care setting

*        Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities

*        Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks

*        Confident IT user
